Nissan, Japan's second-largest automaker is teaming up with Cummins, a major manufacturer of diesel engines in the U.S. to bring a leading-edge fuel-efficient technology to the half-ton pickup truck market. Specifically, the dynamic duo, funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, is working to develop a ground-breaking 220-horsepower (hp), turbocharged 2.8-liter inline-four-cylinder diesel engine.
