Nissan Develops Advanced Supercharged Hybrid Engine

The Japanese automaker, Nissan, is in the process of creating an advanced supercharged engine that will be matted to a hybrid powerplant for the forthcoming Nissan Leaf as well as other Nissan models.

The all new hybrid, which will hit showroom floors at dealerships like Coon Rapids Nissan in Coon Rapids, Minnesota soon, unites a supercharged 2.5 liter 4-cylinder engine with CVT transmission, electric motor, and lithium-ion battery pack.
