Innovative Japanese auto brand Nissan understands that selling a product really comes down to how it's marketed. That's why the brand decided to utilize one of the biggest social media outlets around, Facebook, to premiere photos of the new 2013 Nissan Pathfinder, which has undergone quite a few dramatic edits for this year.

It's official: Japanese automaker Nissan has set a new Guinness World Record with its Nissan LEAF. And, though the vehicle set a speed record, it wasn't the standard speed record that you might assume. In fact, the LEAF created a new speed record traveling backwards down a famous hillclimb in the U.K.

The all-electric LEAF represents a new type of automotive technology, and it's okay to be skeptical about new products. To ease drivers' worries, Nissan has released a unique new LEAF advertisement to increase the vehicle's clout. Of course, because the previous LEAF model sold thousands of models and is the most popular electric vehicle in the U.S., it can only take its popularity to even greater heights.

And, though the Pathfinder has experienced several redesigns and refreshes during that time, its best model year yet may be just around the bend. The new Pathfinder will feature a unibody form for its new fourth generation model- a return to its second-generation style from the current body-on-frame chassis. However, it will be much less boxy than its predecessors due to an improved, more fuel-efficient design.

Have you ever heard of the Datsun auto brand? It was actually the predecessor of Nissan in the United States and other International markets before Nissan got its name, from the company's inception in 1934 to the last use of the name in 1981. Some of the most famous Datsun models were its Z sports cars (a letter which is branded on Nissan sports cars today). And, though the auto brand won't likely be seen in the U.S. again anytime soon, Nissan is debating bringing it back into emerging auto markets such as Russia and India.
